I have been entrenched in this industry for over 20 years, qualified with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAsc) – Human Movement Sciences, Advanced Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Personal Training, Level 2 Wellness & Lifestyle Coaching, Master Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Sports Training and am a certified Twenty8 Health & Lifestyle Educator in Aromatherapy.
Stress has been a focus area for me since my Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis at 19 years of age. Ironically, at that diagnosis time I was studying optimal human performance and training at elite level sport.
Within that 3-month period, I found myself unable to walk, and unable to ‘achieve’ both academically and physically. For an ambitious, high performing perfectionist, these limitations spread into my daily experience, both emotionally and mentally.
It got my thinking, what’s the missing link? I was doing what I was being taught around physical health, yet I was far from healthy.
This forced me to adopt education across not just the physical body, rather how the human body works uniquely and synergistically, and is impacted by physical, mental, emotional and social drivers.
This new learning enabled me to successfully integrate inter-disciplinary behaviours, moving off medication, and back to health, vitality, emotional stability, and high performance.
This personal experience and ongoing education has also allowed me to successfully work with a broad range of clients, acknowledging that one size never fits all. With the broad knowledge of humans, I develop education and strategy based on each person’s current status, and create indivudalised, simple frameworks for success.
Through the development of the 4Cs Coaching Methodology, sustainable behaviour change, stress resilience and high performance among individuals and organisations is achievable. The 4Cs Methodology blends the latest science and research across positive psychology, neuroscience, leadership, nutrition, human biology, mindfulness, emotional literacy and exercise physiology.
